Helloooooo everyone and Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays, or what have you)!
I hope everyone's having a great Christmas at this time. Mine is the usual, which means it's good! Every 24th we go to my grandmother's house at lunchtime and the food does not stop flowing until midnight! Over the years I've learned to pace myself, although there *are* times when I forget to, and by the time it's the glorious Christmas dinner, I'm filled with food up to my throat that I can't get anymore down D: It's a sad sad thing when that happens! Well... it's sad for me, but not for everyone else, because they're all "WOOHOO MORE FOR US"
Christmas is getting bigger and bigger too, since this year, we had another addition to our family, which is my sister's baby, Basti. I love this pic, he looks like a little roast chicken:

The thing with kids though, is that you absolutely CANNOT skrimp on them during Christmas so they are the heaviest on the pocket! With my cousins I can get away with just giving them gift certificates to their favorite book stores (yes, my family loves books), but the young boys... Well my two nephews I took them to the toy store to pick something out, and for Basti I bought him a baby toy (and geez, I never knew baby toys were that pricey).
If it costs this much to have nephews then I REALLY never want to have children. Of course, I'm always saying that, but there's another one to the list of why!
Another thing I'm happy about is that my brother got a new job at a new hotel in the capital, so that means we all get to see him more often. Up until January, he's been working as the executive sous chef for an exclusive island beach resort, so he's only been able to come back to the city for 1 1/2 days a week. Whenever he comes home he comes over to have dinner with us, and of course spend every waking moment with his wife and kids. Whenever we chat online he always sounds so homesick. I'm so glad he'll be living just 15 minutes away again! My parents have been the best in-laws ever. Since my bro isn't around, my parents have taken the task to picking up my sister-in-law and the kids (the school bus drops them off at her workplace) from work everyday and take them home and occasionally bring her dinner.
Anyway, boring Christmas stuff that probably no one will read, but I guess this was more for my personal fulfillment, haha!
And now it's the 25th, so it's off to my other grandmother's house, where there will be MORE food and cousins! Woo!
