Just spreading the word for a company that will always remain in my heart! Oh, and that bit about grabbing their attention with your picture? They mean it. My boss told me that I was chosen to be interviewed because I had red hair on my resume picture. And when I was an employee there, my ID picture (a half-body shot) had me wearing cat ears, black nail polish, and studded bracers, plus my tongue was sticking out.

I don't know exactly how much sleep the FA Artists get. Although I remember them being in zombie mode more than me.

So you think you can handle the long working hours (where sleep is a privilege), the understated glamour (yes, the one where u can have eye bags and breakouts but still strut with your faux-hawk and old-school Chucks), or even the oh-so controversial, RGB-CMYK issue?

Then maybe, just maybe, you're the person we're looking for...

Here are the requirements:

• Male/Female/or anything in between, above and beyond
• Mac Literate
• Knows how to use (1) Adobe Photoshop (we're basically looking for a digital Vicki Belo here *retoke... to the extremes*), (2) Adobe Indesign, (3) Adobe Illustrator, (4) if you know more programs then better, show off!!
• Ability to work under pressure, inside a pressure cooker.
• Very, very, very, very, very uber keen on details. 0% error is our breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Is dynamic, results-oriented team player who possess strong multi-tasking skills and mutant powers (superhuman speed, knows how to manipulate deadlines or even stop time).

Getting settled here in China is taking longer than I thought! I had to buy some furniture, hire a maid, pay rent, buy an entire wardrobe, write out lesson plans, etc. etc. etc. So I have hardly had any progress on my commissions. I'm so sorry to those on the waiting list and I also want to thank the current clients for being really patient with me!

Trying to get everyone on the current list done as fast as possible (without sacrificing quality, lol)! When I finish everyone on the current list, I will start on the waiting list and all artworks from then on will be done one at a time.

Also, for those who want to order more than one picture, I will have to alternate your name with someone else's on the list. That way no one can horde the list, but you don't have to wait forever for your next picture either. Seems fairer that way, no? ^_^

Hello everyone!

I recently accepted a job as an art teacher at the Dalian American International School [link] , and as such, I am no longer able to take on several commissions at one time.

Therefore, I am switching to waiting list mode.

I know, I know, we all hate waiting lists >_< But I think it's for the best so you don't have to wait days and days (and even weeks) just to get an update on your artwork, because I'm juggling a day job AND 5 commissions at the same time. And all my other illustration jobs on the side too (I have a feeling I'm going to have to pass some of these on to my friends).

I'll be regularly posting the waiting list as it moves in this journal. Hopefully the wait won't be too long for someone to get their turn. I hope everyone understands!
