Donatello's Last Stand

I just wanna say that I have looked at all of them and they are all lovely works. Were well planned out, exciting coloring and poses moving the eyes about. the light and shadwo are amazing and the form is solid and true. Detail is there even if the style is supposed to be sketchy. The computer, the broken staff, the bag. And this goes for all of them in the series. You've done an excellent job. Even that the characters are centered is not an issue, as there is enough going on all around them to make the eye continue to move through the whole piece. The viewer never gets bored.
That being said, I'm only going to fave this one. I don't know if it's because I'm used to seeing Donatello depicted in a last minute stand against darkness or if it's because he's not mortally wounded and I can tell myself he's going to escape, but I can handle this one better. With the rest, their mortality is all too obvious and I found them painful (though interesting and good) to look at. I like the happy version of the turtles, the child safe one where at least they don't die. My own weakness, I know, but I thought you deserved to know why- though all of them are excellent- I can only bring myself to fave this one.

Originality 4.5 stars for unique death 'Last Stand' significant to turtle personality.
Technique 2.5 stars. the style is supposed to be sketchy, but I have trouble accepting that it's sketchy in one area and then very smooth (specifically in gradient and shadow) in another.
Impact 5 stars, maybe it's just me. Stop killing the turtle boys!!! DX lol
