I was commissioned to do this gift art for Kittyhawk, the creator of Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki. The fan apparently cannot draw (as he says), but he really wanted to give her some gift art, so he had one commissioned instead. That's a rather sweet gesture

When I saw the title I imagined a battle maiden but haven't thought that the valkyrie is a mermaid. Its really Funny

Oh actually, she isn't really a mermaid in the web comic, the person who commissioned it asked me to draw her as a dolphin mermaid. The story behind it is that she was turned into one (hence the surprised expression). She's also supposed to be wielding a hammer, not a trident
